Regional Biodiversity Monitoring

Biodiversity is the sum of the ecological complexes formed by organisms (animals, plants, microorganisms) and their environments, as well as various related ecological processes, covering three levels: ecosystem diversity, species diversity and genetic diversity. Biodiversity survey is a scientific work that systematically investigates ecosystems, species and genetic resources within a certain area, aiming to clarify the "inventory" of organisms, assess the conservation status and provide a basis for ecological decision-making. As a core component of baseline biodiversity data, a species checklist is fundamental to regional biodiversity research and conservation, making its updating urgent priority. Meanwhile, the continuous monitoring of regional biodiversity and the status of animal and plants are necessary in terms of data base establishment then task planning and execution in the conservation.

With our support on facilities and deployment, some pioneer national parks have achieved full spatial coverage, ranging from satellite remote sensing and drone cruising to ground-based intelligent sensing and mobile terminal data collection for animals and plants. This "network" serves not only as the tentacles for data acquisition but also as the neural network enabling intelligent collaboration. Using phonological cameras, dual-spectral cameras and forest growth monitoring terminals, we carry out long-cycle automatic observations on the growth status, phonological cycles and carbon sink capacity of rare plants, ancient and famous trees. Equipped with GPS positioning and AI recognition, wildlife protection cameras, voiceprint collection terminals and animal tracking collars helps to realize species identification, behavior analysis and habitat assessment for mammals, birds and other animals.
We consider biodiversity as the core symbol of vitality that Bio stands in the center of our task elements. We make every effort to protect wildlife ranging from snow-capped mountains to the deep ocean, from vast grasslands to burrows or tree trunk hollows, and cherish the gene pools out from every corner of this vast planet surface.
